Disclaimer

I am happy to offer you product recommendations.  These reviews and recommendations are always honest and unbiased, since I do not currently represent any one brand.  I have my own personal favorites, which I have shared (and will continue to share) with you, and am constantly learning about new products, ingredients, and formulations.  I will share with you the ones I like, and feel are in line with the Holistically Haute™ Philosophy.

Products and Affiliates:

I recently launched my first product, the Holistically Haute™ Salt Bath Ritual. Any reference to or image of this product is of course made with the intention to generate sales. I also will not be reviewing any products that directly compete with this product or any future HH products.

I have several affiliate ads on my site. Any sales generated after my readers click on these ads pay me a small commission.

I have an affiliation with amazon.com, where I put small ads or links to these recommended products into my posts if the product is relevant and is available for sale on amazon.com, but this does not in any way influence which products I recommend. I also have an a-store which offers several of my favorite items for sale on amazon.com.

I also have affiliations several other companies, which are all listed and featured on my Advertisers and Affiliates page. You can easily access their sites and purchase or learn about their products and services simply by clicking on their ads on this page.

Any commissions I make from sales generated by these ads are put into research and development of future HH products and services.

Paid reviews and contributed content:

When product representatives approach me to do paid reviews, or send me their products to try out and then review, I will always disclose that to you.  I do accept contributed content from companies as well, as long as the content meets my standards and stays within my philosophy. All reviews are completely objective, regardless of whether or not I am offered free products or compensation.  If I am offered compensation from a company whose philosophy does not match mine, I will decline the offer.

I will try to provide good, safe recommendations in every price range, but understand the low-priced products will not be as effective as something in a higher price range. This has to do with the quality and quantity of ingredients.  Higher quality ingredients are more expensive, and using high concentrations of them in product formulation is expensive.  So I evaluate the low-priced options (ones available at drug stores and grocery stores) on ingredient safety, and how high up the active ingredients are on the ingredient lists.

Therefore, if you have skin that is generally normal and healthy, don't have any specific skin care concerns and just want some good, safe products to use everyday, then less expensive products may be just fine for you; but if you have specific skin concerns, this price range will most likely not improve your skin.  To achieve a change or improvement in the appearance and overall health of the skin, you will have to invest more money in your products.

I also want you to know that I am not swayed by marketing efforts.  In fact, the more glossy ads I see for a product, the less likely I will be to recommend it.  These ads are telling me that the companies are spending their money on advertising, not on quality ingredients and effective formulations.  Many of the products I feature will likely be products you have never heard of.

As always, I love to hear from you.  If you know of a great product that you think I should check out, please let me know in comments on the blog, on Twitter, or on Facebook.  Thanks!

*If you are a product representative who would like a Product Spotlight written about your product line, or would like to contribute content for consideration on HH, please email me directly at holisticallyhaute@gmail.com.  I look forward to hearing from you!
